Angel’s Flight

The rose petals rained down like blood dripping from a fresh wound. Her body lay beneath the bushes; the thorny branches crushed beneath her, pricking her skin, a pool of blood forming around her. A shadow forming over her vision, she thought her last bit of energy was waning, death sliding over her. But now she could see him, leaning out the window, looking down at her, satisfying himself with her decimated state. As her eyes fell closed she could see the evil sneer crawl cross his face, his desires met, his visions made complete. And then, for this Angel that fell to Earth, there was no more.
